Owner reviews

I don't even know where to start. I had the best experience at Sloan stud and I can only highly recommend getting a foal from them. I bought foals before and this experience was nothing like any before and I had some pretty good ones. The filly I bought is very well bred and the effort and training put in was outstanding. I got daily updates and photos while I was waiting for pick up time. Bunny is the most chilled, friendly foal I've ever seen. Loaded and travelled 4 hours without problems, leads politely and stands tied already. She is curious and brave, cuddly with people and fits in my herd effortlessly. She came with a bag of gifts, treats, head collar and toys and the most amazing photo album containing everything from her birth. I loved the tour at the stud, meeting all the horses and receiving such a warm welcome. You can tell all the horses are loved and very well cared for. I won't hesitate to get another foal in the future if I'll ever be on the look and if you are lucky enough to have the chance to get a Sloan baby, don't hesitate! They are how they described and more. This is breeding done right

Review from bunny’s owner Rene

I’m not normally one to write reviews but Christina Sloan truly deserves one! We recently bought a foal from her and she went above and beyond from start to finish - excellent communication put me at ease before our little Apache arrived and he arrived not only with his passport in a beautiful personalised wallet and pedigree with lots of useful information about his initial requirements, new head collar, treats and a usb stick with his birth and early days, made me cry with joy, so very special. Most importantly he is proving to be so easy to handle and settled well from day one - Christina and her family obviously spent hours with him. Lucky us, he’s perfect for us and totally amazing!! I know that Christina will always be at the end of the phone if ever we need advice and we will stay in touch - incredible service she offers!

Review from cs majors whiteout AKA apache new owner

I had never bought a horse from a stud previously, but after having been to Sloane Stable Stud the bar is set HIGH. We went down to meet our little man on the day that we collected him, and everything went down without a hitch. Thanks to all the work that Christina had done with him beforehand, he loaded onto the box like a dream and travelled for 6 hours on a horse box completely unfazed. His temperament (despite being called Storm) is more relaxed than a sedative listening to smooth jazz. He was recently gelded and has had his first visit with our farrier, both of which he took in his stride completely- to the point that I did wonder if he had even noticed . As well as being so calm, he is very loving and playful - he is essentially a giant puppy but with great hair. Like seriously, great hair. He looks like a unicorn. He’s very friendly with the other horses also, making it easy to introduce him to the others already on the farm and to integrate him into a herd. The amount of patience and care that has gone into making him the way he is is clear immediately upon meeting him and again when walking around the stud and meeting all of the other horses. Mares, stallions and foals were all exceptionally friendly, and it was lovely to walk around the stud and meet everybody. Christina spent so much time with us and answered all of our questions, she also sent a goodbye package with Storm, including a head collar, some of his favourite treats and a memory stick containing every photo ever taken of him. It’s a long drive but definitely worth it, I wouldn’t consider another stud, this is the only one for me.

Reviews from storms owner Rosh

So our new little man Stormy, where do we start! We fell in love with him when he was 16 months old. Expecting a little handful colt, he could not have been more chilled. Takes everything in his stride and just follows you round looking for kisses. Having visited the Stud we had the opportunity to meet his mum and dad, together with some of the other horses. All of the horses are so chilled and full of love - including the stallions. The love that they know is clear and amazing. It stands these youngsters in such good stead for their futures. They leave Christina filled with love and confidence and go to their new homes fully ready for their new chapter. Our little man had never travelled on a box before. His journey home was 6 hours and this did not remotely phase him. Still a relaxed little man when he arrived home. And when we arrived to collect him, Christina had done him a little new home pack including a memory stick of every picture she has ever taken of him, including his birth. Such an amazing experience. We feel like we have known him forever. Any questions we have had since we picked him up, Christina has been at the other end of the phone to answer. She is such a genuinely decent lady. For us, there will never be another stud. Our next baby will come from here. I cannot recommend Christina and Sloan Stud enough.  you won’t find a more caring Stud
